Notlar	two covers made of leather — bark — А1 and B1: glued to the cover. А2-32: Beginning of the text is missing. The chain of divinatory figures on the left half of the folding pages А2-14 are labeled with the words mate (dead) and bunu (kill). They belong to a Pangarambui – a divination pertaining to the motion of certain signs in the sky – which here is also called Ra(m)bu Simo(r)gigit. The text on the right half of the above mentioned pages continues until А32; in the beginning it contains magic formula (A2-7), followed by a text regarding the 30 days of the month of the Batak calendar – of which, however, only 28 are discussed. Mentioned are the various animals (Hontas) to be slaughtered, and the accompanying pinangan ni ari – offers for the day (A7-29). The text concludes with a magical formula which is nearly identical with the formula at the beginning of the text (A30-32). Apart from minor variations, both text and illustrations contained in this section are nearly identical with those of SAs. 5715 (Museum für Völkerkunde, Leipzig; VOHD XXIII, no. 361; A2-40 and В2-26). А32-39 and В2-39: Poda ni Hatotoganta... na margoranhon Buhu Tanduk. Instruction about a magical device called Buhu Tanduk, which is used against the enemies. The text contains first instructions for making the magical device and the associated magical formula, from which it is evident that this magical device can also be used as a Pagar (protective magic). В2-39: The text present on side B is the continuation of the text of А39. The instruction (which repeatedly is named Buhu Tanduk) relates to the twelve months and the seven days of the week where, among others, it is stated which person may act as an intermediate (Talangke). At the end there is a list of oracle places (Pangarumai) of the various Rambu, which are illustrated with drawings of a compass rose showing the eight directions of the compass, and various magical formula, including those related to love magic (Dorma).
