Notlar	f. 1a: three part double red border title vignette: in the central square box, a circle, also with a double red border, which contains the name of the author, a rectangular area above and below the central box that exhibits a title in a red framed cartouche and a prayer formula f. 2b: red-green ʿunwān, which consists of a semicircle with double red framed areas which contain diamonds filled with circles, circles forming a triangle at the edge of the circle ff. 2b-3a: double red text area frame — black, red — Arabic script → Naskh — paper — Presentation of the religious doctrine based on the Koran and the Sunna. The text is divided into an introduction (muqaddimah), eight chapters (bāb) and a conclusion (khātimah). f. 1a: letters and their numerical value sura 1 praise to God pencilled reference in German that between ff. 185 and 186 several pages are missing f. 1b: three basmalas, two in pencil, one in ink and scribbles ff. 2a, 32b, 99b, 181b-182b: marginal glosses, inter alia from other works of al-Shaʿrānī, from Abū ʿAbd Allāh Muḥammad ibn Idrīs ibn al-ʿAbbās al-Shāfiʿī (d. 204/820; EI2 IX/181-185; GAL I/178-180 S I/303-305; GAS I/484-490; Kaḥḥālah IX/32-34; Ziriklī VI/26-27) and Abū ʿAbd Allāh Muḥammad ibn al-Khaṭīb al-Rāzī, written by another hand
