Notlar	Light brown Oriental quarter leather binding; boards covered with paper; doublures of cardboard — black, red — Arabic script → Naskh — paper — Mathematical work on methods for the calculation of testamentary dispositions (waṣāyā). It follows and complements the methods presented in the books on law by Abū ʿAbd Allāh Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan ibn Farqad al-Shaybānī (d. 189/805; EI2 IX/392-394; GAL I/171-173 S I/288-291; GAS I/421-433; Kaḥhālah IX/207-208; Ziriklī VI/80). The work is structured in three parts (qism). The first part contains an introduction to the topic in 20 chapters (muqaddimah), the second part elaborates the purposes (maqāṣid) in ten chapters, and the third part is concerned with complementary additions (rawādif) in twelve chapters. Leaves and quires are partly not in their original order. As an example: Part 3 begins on f. 32b, while part 2 begins on f. 72a. f. 201: Excerpt of another work on mathematics, namely the beginning of the chapter on testamentary regulations.
