Notlar red leather binding with embossed corner elements, cartouches and rhombuses, partly with inscriptions (quotes from the Qur'an and date); spine with gilded floral ornaments and the inscription 'Tusveerān 8' — margins, partly silver speckled, partly with golden rhombuses, partly with floral ornaments — black — paper — album containing eight portraits of enthroned or standing Mughal rulers on f. 1b (30a) - 3b (29a), 6a (26b) - 7b (25a), 9a (23b), 14a (18b), 15b (17a); two portraits of Timur as the ancestor of the Mughals on f. 4a (28b) and 24a (8b); 14 portraits of Mughal, Deccani, and Rajput governors, princes and courtiers in various painting styles of the 18th century on f. 5b (27a), 8a (24b),10a (22b) - 12a (20b), 13b (19a), 16a (16b), 17b (15a) - 18a (14b), 19b (13a) - 20a (12b), 21b (11a) - 22a (10b), 31a (1b); two Rāgamālā miniatures on f. 26a (6b) and 27b (5a); two Genre scenes on f. 23b (9a) and 25b (7a), as well as two European-inspired pictures on f. 28a (4b) and 29a (3b). Four from a total of ten calligraphic pieces are signed by presumably Iranian calligraphers of the 16th and 17th centuries: f. 13a (19b), 16b (16a) [ʿImād al-Ḥasanī], 19a (13b) and 20b (12a), these and one more on f. 16b (16a) are written in Nastaʿlīq; two calligraphic specimens in Naskh on f. 14b (18a) - 15a (17b); three in Indian Shikastah (probably 18th century) on f. 17a (15b), 25a (7b) and 30b (2a).
