Notlar Rather extensive vocalisation — Black ink, headings and captions in gold letters outlined in black ink. Rule borders in black ink, three lines with a gold strip between the two inner lines (on fol. 68a only the gold strip was drawn). Groups of three gold tear drops outlined in black ink used as textual dividers and to mark hemistichs. F. 1a: Titlepiece in gold triangle outlined in black, covering the upper half of the area of a rule border, title in red paint: Dīwān sayyidi (or: sidi) ʿUmar Ibn-al-Farīd. Fol. 1b: Colourful illuminated headpice (gold, blue, red, white and black) containing the same title as the titlepiece. — black, gold, blue, red, white — Arabic script → Naskh — paper — F. 1b-31a: Introduction (Dībāǧa) by the grandson of the poet ʿAlī Sibṭ-Ibn-Farīd. F. 31a, ff: The text in the MS seems to differ in several respects from editions of the Dīwān. For example, the "Great Ode that rhymes with ta'" - here under its other name Naẓm al-Sulūk (fol. 48r-91a) - is divided into two parts, with a comment by the author that he wrote the first part (48a-52b) after the rest, and a comment by Šihāb ad-Dīn as-Sunbulī that he was told by Ibn-al-Fāriḍ in a dream to join the two parts of the ode (fol. 52b). F. 142b: Colophon
