Notlar thick green cardboard, covered with marbled paper with a motif of moons and brown stripes — The writing is not appealing but clear. — black, red — paper — The work contains the mystique of Sheikh Abdul Rauf ibn Ali al-Fansuri (also known as Abdurrauf Singkil and Tok Sheikh di Kuala). It is divided into seven Faidahs whose titles are Arabic, but whose text is - apart from quotes - Malay. In the first F., according to the work of al-Sanusi, it is shown how all the qualities of Allah and of the prophets are to be deduced from the creed, and how good the rejoicing of the formula is. The second F. (S.11-26) details the rite of dhikr, citing famous Arabic works. The third F. (pp. 26-43) provides evidence of the excellence of the last of the two Dhikr نفي إثبات mentioned in the Q and the Quran. The Fourth F. (pp. 43-46) presents the salutary consequences of this dhikr for the one who is doing the same. The fifth F (pp. 46-53) deals with the Guru's hints of dhikr and the oath of obedience to the sheikh. The sixth F. (p.53-78) gives the exercises not prescribed by law, which a mystic has to perform. The seventh F. (p.78-90) counts the spiritual characteristics of the brothers of this Tariqah; These are moral virtues and "love for the faithful, hatred for the unbelievers". Pp. 90-94 contain an exhortation from the author in which he describes the Qur'an recitations and prayers by which every Sufi must be distinguished from the profane world. Finally the author gives on p.94ff. the documents of the justification of his claims to the teacher's dignity. At the end of the text are mentioned the masters of tasawuf with whom he has conversed.
