Notlar	Brown Oriental leather binding with fore-edge flap and envelope flap; fore-edge flap and spine renewed, the leather laps over parts of the covers and the envelope flap; central ornament of the covers: mandorla with lobed perimeter, an infill of floral scrolls and two fleuron as pendants; curved corners also filled with floral scrolls; the design of the corners is similar to that on the covers; within the fleuron pendants name of the bookbinder: Aḥmad produced (it); doublures covered with paper — black — Arabic script → Naskh — paper — Collection of traditions on the states which are essential for an ascetic way of living, death and Godʾs mercy. The MS begins with the chapter bāb mā jāʾa fī faḍl al-ʿibādah and ends with the chapter bāb ṭalab al-ḥalāl. For a survey of the chapters (bāb) see Karl Vollers, Katalog der islamischen, christlich-orientalischen, jüdischen und samaritanischen Handschriften der Universitätsbibliothek zu Leipzig. Osnabrück 1975, no. 295, 82-83. F. 1 was renewed by a younger hand.
