Notlar	The bast was originally glued at both ends to the wooden covers which are about 1-1,5 cm thick and rough hewn, but now the two covers and the bast have separated. Two holes were drilled at both ends of the upper cover which served to attach the carrying string made of a pair of cords of palm fibre. The two cords are connected in several places with a rattan string. A braided band made of rattan is used to hold together the book. Not only has the strip of bast separated from the cover, the long strip of bast itself has become fragmented. — Southern Ta is used — bark — The book is concerned, among others, with the oracle of the hanging cock (manuk gantung) where the magician holds the dying animal head-down in his left hand while he observes the movements of the dying animal. Thereafter the datu cuts the animal open and draws conclusions, mainly about war, from the position of the entrails. The book is also dedicated to the art of astrological divination based on the twelve signs of the zodiac (pormesa na sampulu dua), divination of auspicious days (panjujuron ari), and pane na bolon – the great Pane (a dragon-like creature) that revolves around the compass in one year, dwelling three months in each of the four directions of the compass.
