Notlar wood, the wooden cover is broken into two pieces — wood, the wooden cover is broken into two pieces — bark — А117: Beginning of text is missing. On А1 and 2 is an uncompleted divinatory calendar (Porhalaan). After a number of illegible lines the name for the instruction is given as Poda ni Tondung Susuran Si Porhas. The instruction deals with the divination with a string (Rambu Si Porhas). The chain of transmission contains a number of names of datu (magicians) starting with Guru Hatahutan ni Aji and ending with Raja Burajun. The text at first contains instructions for producing the divination, which is followed by magical formula that invoke the gods of the oracle (Debata ni Tondung) but whose ultimate purpose is to destroy the enemy. Pages А13-17 contain lists of oracle places (Pangarumai) and interpretations of the oracles (Panjahai) from which it is evident that this is a divination by throwing a string (Rambu Si Porhas). The drawings of the double strings that typically accompany this oracle, are missing. А17-30 and В2-30: Poda ni Pagar Balikkunda. An instruction to prepare a protective magical device (Pagar), which does not only cure diseases and repels the magic of the enemies, but which can even return the aggressive magical devices back to the enemies who sent them. The text contains instructions of various methods to produce this protective device, long magical formula, and various illustrations of magical figures (Raja-rajaan) besides the nineteen letters of the Batak alphabet. В1: glued to the cover В2-30: continuation of А 30. Text ends abruptly.
