Notlar The two outermost pages (B1 and B52) were blackened to give the appearance as if the ms. had wooden covers. This is common practice, but in this case one of the blackened pages, B1, was glued against a wooden cover. Since B1 is blackened one can assume that the cover is a later addition. Carved wooden covers are often added to mss. by traders to increase their selling value. — bark — The first page is almost completely illegible. Of the few letters that can be deciphered is the string “piring ma inon” which supposedly can be read si aji nangka piring ma inon – “this is the oracle of [the fowl named] Aji Nangka Piring”. The following paragraphs all start with jaha manuk “when the cock...” which is followed by an interpretation of the position and appearance of the various parts of the dead fowl. A22 marks the beginning of a new chapter, but still related to the cock oracle. Here, the subject are the divination houses. The first one is the ruma ni rambu mangambang which is one night in the Southeast, one night in Northeast, and one night in Southwest. A22:     Ruma ni rambu mangambang di / di agoni sada borngin di / risanniya sada borngin di / nariti sada borngin.
