Notlar	Oriental leather binding; front cover made of pasteboard; back cover made of dark brown leather; central ornament of the back cover: circle encircled by circles covered with half-moon stamps and light beams in the junctures; the circle is filled with cross-shaped stamps and gold dots, bevelled corners are filled with crescents and gold dots, the frame consists of ruled paper and a border of intertwining scrolls; paper doublures — black, red — Arabic script → Naskh — paper — Commentator's abridged version of his great commentary Fatḥ al-ṣamad on the Shāfiʿite legal work al-Zubad fī al-fiqh composed by Sharaf al-Dīn Abū al-Qāsim Hibat Allāh ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥīm ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Hibat Allāh ibn al-Musallam Ibn al-Bārizī al-Juhanī al-Shāfiʿī al-Ḥamawī (d. 738/1338; GAL I/394 II/86 S I/679 S II/101; Kaḥḥālah XIII/139-140; Ziriklī VIII/73). The name of the commentator on the title page is no longer legible. Two more recent hands than the hand of the original copy (ff. 1a, 71b) attribute the commentary to Zayn al-Dīn Muḥammad ʿAbd al-Raʾūf ibn Tāj al-ʿĀrifīn ibn ʿAlī al-Munāwī al-Shāfiʿī (d. 1031/1621–1622; EI2 VII/565; GAL II/305–307 S II/417; Kaḥḥāla V/220, X/166; MAL I/370–371, Nr. 99; Ziriklī VI/204) . Inasmuch as al-Munāwī died in 1031/1621-1622, he cannot be considered the author because the commentary was finished according to the MS in 895/1490.
