Notlar thick green cardboard covered with blue and brown striped paper — black, red — paper — The head of the kutei princes forms a divine couple: the woman comes out of the sea as the Banjar story tells, the prince comes out of heaven and is called Aji Batara Agung Dewa Sakti. The story of both youth, wedding, coronation, etc. is treated in detail, always to explain customs, ceremonies or geographic names of Kutai. The first prince founded the imperial capital, visited the prince of Majapahit and some kings from the coastal kingdoms of Borneo, who he defeated in cockfighting and finally disappeared, just like his wife, into the Mahakam River. Their son and successor marries again a divine princess, but that continues the pedigree without further supernatural interventions. Battles and campaigns against the wild tribes of the landlocked are described in detail. The third prince travels with his administrator to Majapahit, where both are received honorably and where they study the laws and customs of their position. Under the sixth prince, Raja Mangkota, Islam is introduced in Kutai. The chronicle gives detailed information about the marriages and children of the princes, as well as about the names under which the memory of every sultan was honored. Here a heavy "touchstone" decides on the succession to the throne: only the legitimate heir to the throne was able to lift it. From the eighth king, the chronicle records important warfare, which made it possible to subjugate powerful tribes. Thus the historical and ethnographic messages stop (p.112, Z.2 v.u.). It follows (p.112-116, interrupted on p.114) genealogical information; the eighteenth king is missing because he did not take office until 1850. P.118-119 contain the document of a contract which was made at the designation of a new head of the Buginese colony in Kutai between this colony and the empire. The manuscript contents 2 texts: “Salasilah Kutai” (p. 1-117) and “Perjanjian Bugis dengan Raja Kutai” (p. 118-119).
