Notlar	without binding — nice ordinary handwriting; medium-sized, clear; erect; main headings large, bold parlty vocalized; subheadings and special words within the text in red; gāf written as kāf, pā as bā and čā as jā; colour of the red ink heavily faded on some pages colour of the black ink come off too — text area frame-ruled in double red — black, brownish-black, red — Arabic script → Naskh — paper — Jurjānīʾs abridgement of his own Persian medical encyclopaedia in twelve volumes which he dedicated to the Khwārizmshāh Quṭb al-Dīn Muḥammad (d. 521/1127; EI2 IV/1067). Jurjānī compiled the extract on the request of Majd al-Dīn Abū Muḥammad Ṣāḥib ibn Muḥammad al-Bukhārī vizier under the reign of the Khwārizmshāh ʿAlāʾ al-Dīn Atsiz (d. 551/1156; EI2 IV/1067) Our MS contains the fourth kitāb, kuftār 1-16, beginning of the first bāb where the therapy for diseases affecting certain bodily parts and organs are described. The wording and arragement of the chapters in our MS deviates from the Teheranian print of the year 1966 (see editions), for instance the fourth kitāb of our MS corresponds to the third one in the print.
