Notlar	Red Oriental quarter leather binding with fore-edge flap and envelope flap; covers, envelope flap and doublures in paper — black, red — Arabic script → Naskh — paper — Commentary upon the Futūḥāt al-ilāhīyah fī nafʿ arwāḥ al-dhawāt al-insānīyah, a survey on mysticism written by Zayn al-Dīn Abū Yaḥyá Zakarīyā ibn Muḥammad al-Anṣārī (d. 926/1520; EI2 11/406; GAL II/99-101 S II/117-118), who was the great-grandfather of the commentator. ff. 10b, 21b, 30b: The scribe Muḥammad al-Abshīshī collated, read and corrected his copy with the authorʾs son Sharaf al-Dīn al-Anṣārī who issued him a certificate of authorization for transmitting the works of his father and grandfather as well as other works. The collation notes bear the following dates: f. 10b: 14 Dhū al-Qaʿdah 1084/20 February 1674 f. 21b: 18 Dhū al-Qaʿdah 1084/24 February 1674 f. 30b: beginning of Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1084/March 1674 f. 39b: The scribe transcribed this copy for his own use.
