Notlar	Reddish brown Oriental leather binding; spine, margins of the front cover and corners of the back cover are renewed with light brown leather; central ornament of the covers: almond with lobed perimeter, an infill of floral scrolls and two fleurons as pendants; doublure of paper — black, red — paper — Cosmographic-historical work. After presenting chronological systems, the work gives an overview over the pre-Islamic and Islamic history up to and including the Abbasid Caliph al-Muṭīʿ li-Allāh Abū al-Qāsim al-Faḍl ibn al-Muqtadir (ruled 334-363/946-974; EI2 VII/799). It is the last work of al-Masʿūdī and a résumé his literary activity. According to a note by Heinrich Leberecht Fleischer on f. 1a, written in Leipzig on October 23th 1856, 31 folios or 62 pages are missing in the Leipzig manuscript. p. 399: prayer p. 400 Sura 112 prayer p. 403 prayer, dated Dhū al-Qaʿda 1185/February-March 1772 The notes on page 399, 400 and 403 are written by the same hand.
