Notlar	Javanese leather binding, dark brown — The script is very small and fine, carefully written but rather difficult to read (cf. SB Ms.or.quart. 351 and 353). The idiom and the orthography are East Javanese Pasisir. Some white paper leaves containing an old German description of the text (“Javanisches Gedicht”, without name) are affixed to the first leaf of the ms. — on the two initial pages space is spared for frame decoration, which was not executed — paper — Serat Kanda, Book of Tales, in macapat verse, beginning with mythic history of the gods in their celestial abode and legendary history of the kings of Pajajaran and Majapahit, up to the history of the Sultanate of Demak. The last mentioned historic fact is the death of the great Sultan of Demak who was succeeded by Sunan Prawata as Dipati Mukmin, and the foundation of the kingdom of Pajang.
