But by the comparison of these two texts one can find the differences in them...both in the order of the subject and the addition and decrease of the matters and even in the method of calculations. Therefore the Persian text can not be considered the translation fo the Arabic text of Al-Īḍāḥ...The Persian Treatise is either redaction of Al-Īḍāḥ treatise - by an unknown author - ... [or] the translator ... may have written a separate book by using Al-Īḍāḥ or it is a translation of some other independent treatise about which we do not have any information or trace of it."--introd.
