Owner's note dated 1226 A.H. with the name Mullā ʻIsá walad Karbālāʼī Muḥammad Ḥaydar? (f. 1r). Blue paper pasted to the last page is written from Mirzā Muḥammad Khān ʻĪsā Khān from the madrasah Dār al-Shafā to Karbālāʼī Muḥammad Haydar. Shelfmark: MS Or 89 - FOLIO/FLAT. Origin: Item is undated; perhaps copied in the 16th or 17th century. Decoration: Rubrications, including some Arabic, in red; overlines in red. Script: Written chiefly in nastaʻlīq with Arabic in naskh with vocalization. Layout: 29 lines per pages except the first two pages (24 and 20 lines per page). Title supplied by cataloger; alternative title from caption title (f. 2v). Manuscript codex. Also available as a digital facsimile. Formerly owned by David Eugene Smith (note in pencil f. 1v). Formerly owned by ʻIsá walad Karbālāʼī Muḥammad Ḥaydar (f. 1r).. One volume, incomplete, of a Qurʼān exegesis in Persian; last legible verse is 115 of al-Māʼidah with the commentary partially pasted over.
