Origin: Two sections dated differently : first is dated 1247 AH, though the date is in a different color and style (f. 332) ; second section dated 1255 AH (f. 383r). Decoration: Illuminated headpieces in blue and gold before each section (f. 1v, 335v) with numerous illuminated and gilded text division markers; gilded leaf patterned intercolumnal fill; textblock border-ruled in cream, gold, black, red and blue with page-opening frame-ruled in narrow gold and black. Script: Written in nastaʻlīq in black ink; pointed. Layout: 21 lines per page in 4 columns. Title from fourth flyleaf verso at front of book. Manuscript codex. Formerly owned by Aḥmad ʻAlī Khān, 1351 A.H. (1932 or 1933 CE) (stamp, f. 383v).. Copy of the poems recounting the battles and expeditions of the prophet Muḥammad and ʻAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib.
