Notlar	The copyist for most of the works in this collection consistently spells asṭurlāb with an extra tāʼ before the ṭāʼ. Three loose leaves belonging to this manuscript were formerly inserted in MS Or 278, and have been returned to this volume. Shelfmark: MS Or 285. Origin: Some items in the collection (1, 2, 3, 6, 7) are dated and were copied between 1106 and 1107 AH (1695-1696 CE) (f. 16v, 25v, 36v, 69r, 76v). The last work says that the collection was gathered by Yūnus ibn Aḥmad al-Dajānī (f. 101v). Decoration: Rubrications in red with numerous geometrical drawings and tables. Script: Written in rapid naskh in black ink; pointed. Layout: 19-22 long lines. Collective title supplied by cataloger; titles for individual works from caption titles, except for work 3, which was supplied by cataloger. Manuscript codex. Formerly owned by George Arthur Plimpton (bookplate inside front cover).. Collection of works on astronomy and astronomical instruments in Arabic and Ottoman Turkish copied in the same hand and bound together; the Turkish work (3) is missing the first leaf; f. 84v-98v are all excerpts from (naqala min) the same book with no attribution, Miṣbāḥ al-ẓalām.
