Former shelfmark: "138" inscribed in pencil on recto ; "75001" inscribed in pencil on verso. Support: non-European (likely Egyptian) laid paper with roughly 8 laid lines per cm. (vertical) and chain lines seemingly grouped in threes (or twos and threes) with roughly 12-15 mm. between the chains and 35 mm. between the groups (horizontal). Decoration: Instances of the divine Names (here الله , غفور , رحيم) chrysographed ; marginal annotations rubricated ; written area surrounded by a gold frame defined by black fillets ; illuminated textual dividers in the form of gold rosettes with red accents mark the ends of verses ; marginal illumination in the form of a roundel carrying the word ثمن (thumn) in gold on a blue ground with red, gold and blue accents, marks the close of one eighth (thumn) of a ḥizb or sixtieth of the text (here the 6th thumn of the 26th ḥizb). Script: Muḥaqqaq ; carefully executed and fully vowelled. Layout: Written in 12 lines per page ; frame-ruled. Collation: Single leaf. Title supplied by cataloguer. Ms. fragment.
