The author was most probably associated with the Shaykhis. One of the treatises of kāẓim al-Rashtī (d.1843) was composed in responce to Mīrzā Shafī' Māzandarānī. Composed on Wed. 25th of Rabī' I 1272/1855. Black ink throughout, catch words, some marginal glosses and corrections. Persian shikastah Nasta'alīq hand. 14 lines per page, wove oriental paper. Title from first page. Manuscript Holding in McGill Library's Rare Books and Special Collections: Two titles bound together subsequent to production: Sharḥ Du'ā' al-simāt (ff.1b-29a).
