Binding: Pasteboards covered in block-printed paper with spine in dark brown leather ; Type III binding (without flap) ; board linings in European laid paper (crossbow watermark) ; sewn in heavy cream thread, two stations ; overall in very poor condition with extremely severe delamination of boards, much abrasion, significant lifting and losses of paper and leather, staining, etc. ; cover almost completely detached at spine ; housed in envelope. Support: European laid paper with 7 laid lines per cm. (vertical) and chain lines spaced 28 mm. apart (horizontal) ; watermarks include crown surmounted by star and crescent and three crescents with GV under trefoil countermark ; sturdy, thick and burnished. Decoration: Basmalah at opening and abbreviation symbols rubricated ; overlining in red ; use of green ink for some abbreviation symbols and accents on keywords. Script: Naskh ; elegant Ottoman hand ; right-sloping head-serifs appear on ascenders (alif, lām, ṭāʼ, ẓāʼ) but somewhat inconsistently ; effect of slight tilt to the left ; many open counters ; rightward descenders are mainly tapered, others are quite rounded. Layout: Written in 21 lines per page ; frame-ruled. Collation: 4 V(40), III (46) ; chiefly quinions ; catchwords present ; pagination in pencil, Western numerals, supplied during digitization. Explicit: "فالعامل في المبتدأ او الخبر هو الابتداء وهو معنى فهذه مائة عامل فلا يستغني الصغير والكبير والرفيع والوضيع والشريف من العرب والعجم عن معرفة هذه الرسالة من العلوم العربية التي فصمت فراعاتها [؟] اللسان عن الغلط واللحن في المتكلم والتعليم بين المعلم والمتعلم على طريق الصواب تمت المعرب الطورنوح بعون الله وحسن توفيقه والحمد لله وحده وصلى الله تعالى ...[كذا]" Incipit: "رضي فعل ماضي معلوم من باب علم الله مرفوع لفظا لانه فاعله تعالى فعل ماضي معلوم من التفاعل فاعله مستتر فيه وهو راجع الى الله عز وجل وتعالى مع ما عمل فيه ..."
