| Notes | Very nice illumination, 2 zahriye, 2 title pages; There are 69 beautiful miniatures in the Ottoman style. The beginnings of the words are gilded, in red and blue. The cherry leather Ottoman binding with miklep, embossed and gilded sunbursts, corners and wide borders, the inside of the covers are also decorated with sunbursts and corners. It is a masnavi with more than 30000 couplets, covering the reign of Sulayman the Magnificent (926/1520-974/1566) until 965 and describing his conquests. |
