Notlar Collection of miscellaneous Persian works on Sufism, comprised of heterogeneous parts from differing sources. Volume not dated; individual items dated (items b, e, and h), ranging 5 Jumādá al-S̲ānī 1083-16 Rabīʿ al-Avval 1152/28 September 1672-23 June 1739. Parts date from the period of Nadir Shah Afshar’s invasion of India and occupation of Delhi. Summaries of contents on folios 1r and 161v. Awkward scribal nastaʿlīq, naskh, and shikastah āmīz hands. Stamped foliation and discontinuous earlier Persian foliation. Lacks original binding. Original text cropped, cut and remounted with new margins in gutter. Folios subsequently rebound in IOL red half leather binding, stamp dated 18 Feb 1936. Folios damaged by large wormholes, gauze net overlay throughout, later repairs, cropped margins, and occasional stains. Labels from the earlier wrapper remounted at beginning. Condition moderately fragile.
