Notlar Collection of works relating to the saint, Jalāl al-Dīn Ḥusayn al-Bukhārī al-Ḥusaynī , known as the Makhdūm Jahāniyān Jahān Gasht (d. 785/1384). Volume not dated; items a and b dated (19 Ramaz̤ān 1130/16 August 1718.) separately; items share similar origins, paper and scribal hand. Contemporary and later illuminated headpieces at the beginning of the first two items. Gilt and coloured rulings throughout. Distinct scribal nastaʿlīq and taʿlīq. Catchwords often partially cropped. Pencil foliation. Occasional annotations and corrections in margins. Lacking original binding. Leather binding damaged (tooled brown leather ornamented with medallions and painted rulings over flexible pasteboards, doublures stripped away exposing inner matter), labelled. Folios unbound; cropped, stained, wormholes, later repairs. The volume is strongly scented with spice. Condition very fragile. Seals of later owners.
