Fol. 1-8 are modern replacements (European paper with watermark). Before fol. 1 in the modern foliation is a fly-leaf in the same European paper. Inscription on the upper margin of the first original folio (fol. 9a): "Sharḥ al-Bukhārī lil-Zarkashī tamāman naqaṣa minhu kirās fī awwalihi ---(?)".
