De Slane attributed this treatise to ʿAbd al-Wahhāb ibn Aḥmad al-Šaʿrānī, probably referring to Ḥāǧǧī Ḫalīfa, III, 79, no. 4566, which attests that the Ḥuqūq iḫwat al-islām was composed by Šaʿrānī. As far as our manuscript is concerned, this is made improbable by its completion date 922/1516; which would suggest a very early writing by Šaʿrānī who died in 976/1568-69. In fact, the date of transcription, the spelling and the glosses in Persian dissuade the possibility of an attribution to al-Šaʿrānī, but it is a treatise subsequent to Ġazālī (correct the article cited below) and to Aḥmad ibn Ibrāhīm [ibn ʿAbd al-Ġanī] Šams al-Dīn al-Sarūǧī al-Ḥanafī cited on fol. 295, 639/1241-710/1310, cf. ZIRIKLĪ, al-Aʿlām, I, 84; Arabic-Persian vocabulary, with interlinear translation into Turkish, in order of subjects; Treatise on prosody in Turkish, written in 869/1464
