Notes
All the letters were copied in the handwriting of Arshad al-Din al-Sarani, who died in Cairo, as written on the front of the collection, annotated, with comments. The total endowment of Sultan Mahmoud Khan with his seal, drawn up by Ahmed Sheikh Zadeh, Inspector of the Endowments of the Two Holy Mosques, with his seal, and accordingly owned by Mahmoud bin Abdullah bin Ubaidullah Al-Kalshani, by valid and legal sale, in Cairo in the middle of Rabi’ al-Akhir in the year 793 AH. No translation was found by the copyist, but a translation was found by Al-Malik, who is Badr al-Din Mahmoud bin Abdullah al-Hasani al-Sara’i, known as al-Kulistani, the writer of secrets in the days of Barquq in Egypt. He died in 801 AH. It appears that they were contemporaries. This is with the possibility that the owner is the copyist himself.

Praise be to God, who has appointed a guide at all times... And after that, he has reached from his side... to what God’s creation, Glory be to Him, is most in need of, Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Tusi, a comprehensive book of spiritual references to divine secrets... So I say: As for the beginning of the book, it contains benefits from every countless art and issues.
