A photocopy of a handwritten copy in the library of the Carmelite Fathers Monastery in Baghdad (today it is in the library of the Iraqi Museum in Baghdad, No. 1798; 132 pages, 20.5 For the College of Arts, University of Baghdad, a typewritten copy from the Iraqi Museum Library, No. 158. We briefly discussed its translation, and its origin in footnote (2) of the book “Pouring Torment on the Slaughter of the Companions” written by him: No. 13/ Doctrines - Doctrines - Sects - Responses). - It was stated in the magazine (Al-Jazeera 3 [Mosul: June and July 1948] issues 26, 27: News and Literary Affairs): “The book (Proverbs of the Common People in Dar es Salaam) was presented to the Scientific Academy to be printed and published for benefit. This book has valuable chapters on common people’s proverbs and common people’s literature. Its rules were drawn up by Sheikh Muhammad Saeed Al Mustafa Al-Khalil, and it took more than thirty years to compose it. Then he presented it to the late Abd al-Latif Chalabi Thunayan, who compiled its indexes and arranged it in the best order. Some of his chapters were published in Al-Subh Al-Baghdadi Al-Muhtajabi magazine.

The predecessors took care to collect them and write them down, but they memorized something and missed something... And the poor servant still endeavored to collect the famous proverbs and sayings mentioned in the dialogues of his people, which no one took care to collect, and did not hesitate to write them down. The obstacles prevented that until the opportunity emerged in these days, and I collected a summary of them. Arranged according to the letters of the alphabet..., and I have labeled what I collected by the likes of the common people in the city. I may have quoted the colloquial pronunciation without changing it. Perhaps I changed what was on the tongues to something similar in expression
