The scribe’s name and the approximate date of transcription can be established from the fact that the handwriting is identical to that of OR. 2247, I, VIII, and XII, copied respectively in Ṣafar 996/January 1588 (fol. 34v), awā’il Shawwāl 1002/June 1594 (fol. 110v), and Rajab 996/May-June 1588 (fol. 152v). European paper. Rubrics. Catchwords. Marginal and interlinear notes by the copyist. Extracts from [al-Fīrūzābādī’s (d. 817/1415)] al-Qāmūs [al-muḥīṭ], (see GAL II 181, 2, no. 1, 1; SB II 234), al-Mashāriq (fol. 54r) and from al-Muḥarrir. Label reading “Biblioteka Pazvantoglu”, inside front cover. Dobrača 120, 5 ; 514, 4 ; and 580, 2, gives the following sequenee of titles: Risālah fī bayān al-Aḥādīth al-mawḍū’ah li-al-Imām al-Ṣaghānī, Risālat al-Aḥādīth al- mawḍū’āt and Mawḍū’āt al-Ṣaghānī. SB 1 614 (where the title is given as Risālah Fī al-Aḥādīth al-mawḍū’ah).
