His saying: Its origin is from what, so he deleted the alif in a large manner. The origin and reason for the deletion is indicated by his saying: When he passed, it means for a reason or rule in Surat Al-Saff, if there is no compound from the genitive lam and what is the interrogative and the effect, the alif was deleted along with the preposition due to their frequent use together and their adoption in indicating the interrogated person. The reason for the adoption is that the interrogative was transferred to the neighbor, so it is permissible to introduce the letter and the genitive to a word that included the interrogative at the end of it.
