Notlar A book of legal documents. Some single sheets of paper, mostly Letters, are stuck in between the layers. Written area changes from page to page; beige smooth paper with various watermarks; different cursory handwritings in black or blackish ink; no borders or catchwords. f. 98b: several poems in Turkish, one of which is attributed to Kemā1 Pashazāde, another to Bāqī (d. 1600), a quatrain (rubā‘ī) and poetic fragments. The inner front cover shows calculations and scribbles; the inner back cover is filled with a list of expenditures, fragments of two anecdotes and two notes on a loan, dated 1228 (1813). ff. 1b-63a contain court rulings (ṣukūk), most of them dated 1225 (1810), the subsequent pages are increasingly interspersed with applications to the law court, letters addressed to dignitaries, petitions to persons whose names are mentioned, and poetic fragments. The former include: f. 67a: a letter of condolence (ta‘ziyyetnāme) by the former Sheykhülislam Khalīl Efendizāde Meḥmed Sa’īd Efendi (1749-50 in office); f. 69b: an order (emir) of Sultan Selim III regarding dress regulations, dated 1208 (1793-94); f. 81a: a draft of a document by the inspector of the Holy Places (ḥaremeyn müfettishi), name not given; ff. 82a, 92b: petitions of the Sheykhülislam Dāmādzāde Ebülkhayr Efendi (1732-1733 in office); ff. 82b, 89a: letters of the future grand' vizier Rāghib Pasha from Aleppo (1757-1763 in office). For another ṣukūk work, cf. Tur 11.
Örnek Metin (f. 1b):
Cilt Rubbed brown leather cover; binding is loose; each layer has a différent, old foliation, thus indicating a volume of heterogeneous parts
Durum Incomplete, as title and end page(s) -- and possibly more — are missing; trimmed; some worm damage. f. 1a: numerous illegible notes which seem to have been washed out deliberately.
Mürekkep rengi Black or blackish ink
