Notlar Bronze figure of a goddess, probably Isis. The goddess stands with her feet together. Her right arm, bent at the elbow, is extended forwards; and her right hand is pierced to hold a now missing staff of scepter. Her left hand, held at her side, is also pierced to hold a now missing attribute. The goddess wears a tight-fitting dress and lappet with uraeus. Atop her wig is a circular frieze of uraei which support cow’s horns and a solder disk. Condition: Black/Cu/cuprite patina. Extensive pitting over dress and upper body. Solar disk much pitted. Cuprite deposits still extant here and here. Right horn bent. | more | less
