Notlar A spherical jug with a slightly flattened bottom and a small central neck with an everted rim and two small round handles. The symmetrical placement of these handles is somewhat obscured by the short round spout that rises from one handle and the flange in the shape of a roughly rendered animal head on the other. The animal's features include small protruding ears each with a small punched hole, perhaps an eye, and a horizontal gouge in front of each ear offer no clues to the species of the animal depicted. The clay body is remarkably thin and surprisingly light in weight. | more | less
