Notlar Circular gold disk decorated around edge with dots in repousse. Suspension loop at top. Soldered to front surface an irregular oblong plaque with nude male figure in high relief. Probably a Ptolemaic ruler of Egypt. The figure in relief may be a copy of a bronze statue. The figure is nude except for a scarf thrown around his shoulders. His left hand supports a long staff and he carries an unidentified object in his right hand. Another unidentified object stands at his feet. Possibly an altar. He wears the intef crown. Condition: Disk broken in two places on circumference--otherwise good. | more | less
