Notlar Small bronze situla with wire handle and button base. Decorated with relief. In the top register are presented two barques, probably the boat of day and the boat of night. In the second register is Amun-min before whom is a floral offering. Behind him are a god, a lioness-headed (?) goddess, and a figure of Isis (?). In the third register are badly damaged representations of what appear to be boats. The bottom is decorated with lotus petals. Condition: Surface brown and a great deal of bare metal. Two holes which may be casting flaws. Body dented and weakened by previous attack of bronze disease. Some traces of recurrent disease. Handle cracked in several places and cannot bear the weight of the vessel. | more | less
