Notlar Standing bronze statuette of the Child Horus, wearing crown of Upper and Lower Egypt, sidelocked on right side of head. Right hand held to mouth. Oblong, hollow base inscribed in front. Statuette cast solid. Inscription: "Horus the Child, the great god who is in Athribis." An unusually satisfactory piece of work. Condition: Bronze cleaned probably by Arabs, many years ago. Much corrosion remains. Several spots of bronze disease on base and head. Must be treated. Much of the present corrosion can be removed and the details made clearer. Good routine work.
