Notlar	Greenish-blue glazed talc or steatite (probably the latter) figure of a seated cynocephalus. The ape sits upon a base decorated with a cavetto cornice. The base is curved in the rear. The ape’s heavy mane is decorated with a crudely incised lozenge pattern. There is a hole for the insertion of some object- perhaps a sun-disk in the top of the head. On the ape’s back are two holes in the shape of dovetail clamps. Condition: Snout broken away; mane chipped; large chips in base; other smaller chips. \| more \| less
