Notlar Kneeling statue of a man wearing a long pleated skirt (in the Ramesside Style). The stone is crumbly and reddish, perhaps damaged by fire. The man stretches his hands out in front of him, holding the back pillar of a figure of Ptah or Osiris now largely destroyed. Behind the image of the god, projecting out slightly from the back pillar is a Djed pillar in low relief. On the proper right side of the divinity's back pillar is the determinative of Amun, followed below the man's outstretched hand and the name Amun-Ra. The rest of this text is broken. There is a partial inscription on the back of the statue, which gives the man's name and title as a Priest of Ptah, Nebsumenu (?). The use of the tr sign in place of n in the title Hm-nTr n ptH is a dating criterion, which places the statue after Ramesses II, to the end of Dynasty 20 (see Anthes, ZAS 74 (1938) 109-113). | Length: 13.0 | Width: 6.5 | Depth: 9.8 | Measurement unit: Centimeters/Inches | more | less
