Notlar Bronze statue of Harpocrates striding upon a rectangular base. The god is shown as nude except for his sidelock and Double Crown. On the base before the god is a representation of a small box, with movable lid surmounted by a small figure of a frog. The base has a poorly preserved hieroglyphic inscription which mentions the name Harpocrates. Condition: Black/cu patina. Damage to surface of crown where spiral would have sprung out. Top of figure separated by crack from top of chin. Whole surface worn from handling. | more | less
