Notlar One solid cast figure of the lioness-headed goddess Sakhmet. She stands on a rectangular base and is crowned with a uraeus and sun-disk. Her lower arms are extended forwards to hold a mutilated object. Behind her stands a jackal-headed bird, whose wings are extended forwards to protect the goddess (they envelope her legs at the level of the calves.) The bird is crowned with a mutilated crown of an elaborate type. Condition: Brown patina. Most features rubbed down. Ragged edges of plinth and headdresses as well. Surface greatly pitted. | more | less
