Notlar The front of the arc-shaped buckle is decorated with a very fine chased design of arabesques, tendrils, and leaves; at the outer border has a design of alternating rhombic and ring-shaped elements. The hole through the back was used to attach the buckle to the girdle. The back is blank, but has an Arabic stamp with the name of the ruler and the date: al-Mansur 1189. Imam al-Mansur "Ali I ruled from AH 1189 to 1224 (AD 1775-1809).
