Originalne korice od slepljenih listova hartije s preklopom na zadnjoj korici, potpuno prevučene kožom. Platneni povez. Neshi. Rukopis pisan crnim tušem, naslovi poglavlja pojedini termini i oznake u tekstu zapisani su crvenim mastilom. Tekst rukopisa uokviren drvostrukim tankim ramom crvene boje. Prve dve stranice rukopisa posebno ukrašene stilizovanim ornamentom biljnog motiva u plavoj, crvenoj, žutoj, zelenoj, zlatnoj i ružičastoj boji. Kuran ima mnoga imena. Među onima koja se nalaze u samom tekstu jesu al-furkan (razlikovanje ili kriterijum), al-huda (vodič), dikrulah (sećanje na Boga), al-hikma (mudrost) i kalamulah (reč Božja). Još jedan termin jeste al-kitab (knjiga) iako se u arapskom koristi i za druge svete spise kao što su Tora i jevanđelja. Termin mushaf (napisana knjiga) se često koristi za posebne kuranske rukopise, ali se isto tako upotrebljava i u Kuranu da bi se označile starije knjige otkrovenja. The Quran has many other names. Among those found in the text itself are al-furqan ("discernment" or "criterion"), al-hudah ("the guide"), dikrullah ("the remembrance of God"), al-hikmah ("the wisdom"), and kalamullah ("the word of God"). Another term is al-kitab ("the book"), though it is also used in the Arabic language for other scriptures, such as the Torah and the Gospels. The term mushaf ("written work") is often used to refer to particular Quranic manuscripts but is also used in the Quran to identify earlier revealed books.
