Stoga ne postoji saglasnost oko tačnog spiska pa Božja imena (kao pridevi, složene konstrukcije ili tome slično) premašuju brojku devedeset devet u Kuranu i suni. Shodno tradiciji koju prenosi Abdulah ibn Masud neka Božja imena su sakrivena od ljudi pa ne postoje samo devedeset devet Božjih imena već ih ima više
