Pet stubova islama (arkn-al-Islam; isto tako i arkan ad-din stubovi religije) predstavlja pet osnovnih dela u islamu koje sunitski muslimani smatraju obavezama. Oni su ukratko predstavljeni u čuvenom hadisu o arhađelu Gavrilu. Kuran ih predočava kao okvir verske delatnosti i znak potčinjenosti veri. To su: 1. šahada (izražavanje vere), 2. svakodnevne molitve (salat), 3. post tokom meseca ramadana (saum), 4. davanje milostinje (zaka) i 5. hodočašće u Meku (hadž) bar jedanput u životu. Manjinski šiiti i većinski suniti se slažu oko suštinskih detalja oko sprovođenje tih dela, ali šiiti ih ne nazivaju istim imenom. The Five Pillars of Islam (arkn-al-Islam; also arkan ad-din "pillars of the religion") are five basic acts in Islam, considered obligatory by Sunni Muslims. These are summarized in the famous Hadith of Gabriel. The Qur'an presents them as a framework for worship and a sign of commitment to the faith. They are (1) the shahada (creed), (2) daily prayers (salat), (3) fasting during Ramadan (sawm), (4) almsgiving (zaka), and (5) the pilgrimage to Mecca (hajj) at least once in a lifetime. The minority Shi'i and majority Sunniboth agree on the essential details for the performance of these acts, but the Shi'a do not refer to them by the same name.
