Originalna numeracija listova arapskim ciframa crnim tušem u gornjem levom uglu strane "a". Beleške na marginama zapisane su crnim i crvenim tušem. Žig s imenom vlasnika u kojem se rukopis nalazio: Umar Aga Pasban zade: str. 4a, 142a. Dva različita žiga s imenom Yahya ibn Muhammad: str. 142a. Yusuf, son of Yaqub and great-grandson of Ibrahim, became a prominent advisor to the pharaoh of Egypt since he was believed to have been able to predict the future. He spent a large part of his life away from his eleven brothers, who, jealous of Yusuf's success, told their father Yaqub that Yusuf had died. But indeed they had thrown him in a well and took off his shirt and smeared it with that of a killed ram's blood. Yusuf was afraid in the well but knew very well that Allah was with him. Yusuf was a prophet as well as the messenger of Allah (God). Jusuf, sin Jakubov i Ibrahimov praunuk, postao je istaknuti savetnik egipatskog faraona pošto se za njega mislilo da je u stanju da predvidi budućnost. Veliki deo života proveo je udaljen od svoje jedanaestoro braće koji su, ljubomorni na Jusufov uspeh, rekli ocu Jakubu da je Jusuf umro. Oni su ga, štaviše, bacili u bunar i skinuli mu košulju i premazali je krvlju ubijenog ovna. Jusuf se plašio dok je bio u bunaru, ali je vrlo dobro znao da je Alah uz njega. Jusuf je bio prorok isto kao i Alahov (Božji) vesnik.
