Tradicionalne islamske pravne škole smatraju hadis važnim oruđem za razumevanje Kurana i u pitanjima vezanim za pravosuđe. Hadisi su tokom osmog i devetog veka naše ere bili procenjeni i sakupljeni u velike zbirke. Do današnjeg dana, ljudi se upućuju na ta dela po pitanjima islamskog pravosuđa i istorije.
