It is held in great veneration by Muslims and it is used very much as the Our Father among the Christians. It is repeated over sick persons as a means of healing and also as an intercession for the souls of the departed, and occurs always during daily prayers. It is supposed to be read or recitated aloud: "Praise be to God, Lord of all the worlds!The Compassionate, theMerciful!King of the Day of Judgement!Thee do we worship, and to Thee do we cry for help!Guide Thou us on the right path!The paths of those to whom Thou art gracious!Not of those with whom Thou art angered, nor of those who go astray." (Translated by Rodwell in his English Quran) Fatiha (Otvaračica) je prvo poglavlje Kurana. Muslimani je veoma poštuju i ona se koristi u velikoj meri kao „Očenaš“ kod hrišćana. Izgovara se nad obolelima kao sredstvo isceljenja, kao posredovanje kod duša koje umiru i uvek se izgovara tokom dnevnih molitava. Treba da se glasno čita ili na glas izgovara:„Slava Bogu, gospodaru svih svetova! Sa osećajnom, Milosrdnom! Kralju Sudnjega dana! Tebe obožavamo i tebe preklinjemo za pomoć! Povedi nas na ispravan put! Put onih prema kojima si milostiv! Ne onih prema kojima si gnevan ni onih koji su zabludeli“
