Örnek Metin	The image shows the beginning of Chapter 1 of this section, in which Ibn Sīnā gives his proof of the existence of the soul and his definition of it. According to a modern editor, this manuscript contains the earliest dated copy of Ibn Sīnā’s Kitāb al-nafs/De anima. The book and chapter headings are executed in a fine ornamental ‘Eastern Kufic’ script. Book 2 of the Shifā. Book 2 and 4 is devoted to physics (al-ṭabi’īyāt), i.e. natural philosophy, and Section 6 (Kitāb al-nafs) deals with the soul.
